ONE PACIFIC by Concord Pacific is coming to market shortly!

One Pacific is a new condo development in Downtown Vancouver’s Yaletown neighborhood by Concord Pacific. The project will be a concrete tower located in the parking lots that are bisected by the Cambie Street bridge off ramps, just West of BC Place Stadium.

Originally the project was supposed to be called Panorama, but senior leadership didn’t like the name and went with One Pacific as the project is basically one block from everything great in Yaletown.

We are expecting to see a mix of 1 and 2 bedroom suites with about 150 suites available for less than $350K. Expect all the suites to have either air-conditioning or air-cooling. Which is a unique feature in Vancouver.

New Telus Headquarters Building

An iconic new development is scheduled to break ground in the heart Downtown Vancouver, check out the new Telus headquarters.

"Set for completion by 2014, Architect Gregory Henriquez and Westbank Corp. developer Ian Gillespie; the team behind the Woodward’s Building, have joined forces again to build Telus Garden which is set to occupy a city block between Robson, Seymour, Georgia and Richards.

Once complete, Telus's new headquarters will be unique in North America, featuring 10,000 square feet of green roofs providing organic produce for local restaurants, two elevated roof forests, British Columbia artwork, LED lighting on the western façade projecting programmable coloured images on to fritted glass, and media walls where cultural events such as symphony concerts can be broadcast to the public.

The $750-million plan is to build a total of one million square feet, comprised of a 22-storey office tower and a 46-storey residential tower. For the office tower, there are plans for three interior sky gardens high up, cantilevered out over the street, as well as a public plaza at street level. There will be 450 residential units and cutting-edge green technology, such as a geothermal heat exchange that taps heat from the existing hub of Telus circuits."

Downtown Streetcar Project

I recently leaned about the Downtown Street Car Project and thought it would be something interesting to share with you. Would be very happy to see this concept progress; it would most certainly make getting around the city easier when driving is out of the question. Also a smart addition to the city's "green" agenda!

"The success of last year's Olympic Line demonstration has reaffirmed the City's commitment to the Downtown Streetcar Project. There is more work to be done, including coordination with the City's highest transit priority - the UBC Line Rapid Transit study on Broadway. In the meantime, the City will continue to safeguard right-of-way for the future development of the Downtown Streetcar and look for opportunities to move the project forward."

It's about time! While spending the day n Coquitlam yesterday I was thrilled to see a new development announced along the Austin Corridor.

This new project called The Austin is being built by the highly respected Beedie Group and will bring well needed revitalization to the area. Pearched atop a hill, it will no doubt be home to stunning views in every direction, Downtown to Mount Baker.
